For the first home game of the season the ladies welcomed south cave to Haworth park hoping to pick up the first home victory of the season.
The ladies started the game well playing some nice football. Both teams created some chances but could not find the back of the net. On the 20th minute mark United’s manager Mel Marsden made her first change, Katie made way for Jenna. United continued to dominate the possession however struggling to create any clear cut chances. Some good play down the left wing from Lucy and Gemma saw United take the lead with Lucy’s 20 yard strike finding the back of the net 1-0 United. The ladies continued to press and won the ball back with some nice play on the left hand-side from Sammie seeing her play Jamie in on the edge of the box who finished well 2-0 United. Within minutes of South Cave kicking off United won back the ball with Pinder playing a ball over the top for Grace to run onto and calmly place it into the bottom corner 3-0 United.
Halftime saw United make another change with Lacey coming on for Lucy. United started the half well again keeping the ball. The ball found its way to Grace on the left hand side who cut it back for Lacey to tap home 4-0 United. Then came another change with Skye making way for CJ. Again United playing some good football but struggling to create any more chance. With 15 minutes to go another change was made with Katie coming on for Grace hoping to add some fresh legs up top.
