This Sunday hull United women’s development faced south cave away.
With this being the ladies first game since the home defeat to Beverley in November, the girls were looking to put an end to their 3 game streak without a win.
The girls started strong with Pinder and Workman winning every ball in the middle, with Warner-Bull and Bailey on the wings working hard to get the team forward.
Only 15 minutes after kick off, following some great play with Neale-Wright, Kerrison found the back of the net to send the visitors into the lead.
South cave had very few chances with the back four of Bentley, Marrow, Watson and Greenley, and Ayre in goal keeping the strikers at bay.
Ellis replaced Warner-Bull on the left and worked hard with the strikers to get the second goal.
Despite the long break the visitors were passing the ball around brilliantly, controlling the game and dictating the play.
An unfortunate injury to Pinder saw a double change with Whitfield on for the captain, and Zakria for Kerrison.
Zakria made an immediate impact with her bagging her first goal for the club only a minute after being subbed on.
Half time 0-2
The girls started well in the second half keeping the ball for large periods of the game.
South cave came out strong and created a few good chances but the back four dealt with them well.
An hour in and Whitfield replaced Ayre In goal who moved into the back four to replace an injured Watson.
Workman ran the show and didn’t stop running for the whole game despite playing in 4 different partnerships in the middle.
United created a few more good chances before the final whistle but the scored remained 0-2 to the visitors.
