This Sunday Hull United Womens development faced Pinefleet away in the league.
After a 5-2 win against them last time, the ladies looked to build on that result.
United started strong with L.Holmes and Workman in the middle setting the tempo.
Both teams were growing into the game but it was the visitors that broke the deadlock with a great strike from Demi to fire United into the lead.
Pinefleet were quick to respond with a good strike from the edge of the area finding the back of the net.
A couple of changes saw Mansell and Hughes replace Pinder and C.Holmes, which resulted in a new back 4 of O’Neill, Workman, Watson and Bailey.
With both teams looking to gain the advantage, it was the home side who did. A good strike from the right saw keeper Ayre picking the ball out from her net, with United looking to pull it back.
Not long before half time, United equalised with a fantastic finish from L.Holmes who rifled it Home to make it 2-2.
Half Time Pinefleet 2-2 Hull United Women's Development
A switch in personnel saw Whitfield replace Ayre in goal, and Kerrison off for a break.
The second half was more balanced with both teams pushing for the winner. Some good saves and hard work all round kept the home side at bay meaning the final score was 2-2.
Not United’s best day at the office but a good point away from home on the board.
POTM went to Lauren Holmes for working her socks off in the middle and bagging herself a great goal too
Next week the ladies are in action away at AFC Preston in the East Riding cup.
