Match Report Hull Utd 3-4 Driffield
Hull went into this game aiming for the 3 points after suffering defeat last time out. The Game started lively with the ball getting passed around well by the Hull side, and they had the chance to take the lead when a foul was given on the edge of the area. Paul Goldie who dispatched the freekick into the top left corner with the keeper having no chance! . Driffield kicked off and lost posession straight away and a pass down the right to Poucher, who swung in a low cross for Mike Rustill to tap home to make it 2-0…. that seemed to kick Driffield into life, who went straight up the other end and bagged a goal to bring them back into the game. All this happening in the first 10 minutes!! Midway through the first half Utd made it 3-1 with a spectacular effort from Tresor Kalilwa…. towards the end of the half Driffield where given a penalty, in return missing the resulting kick! But only minutes later they managed to score another as the teams went in 3-2 at HT. into the second half the chances where coming for Hull to extend their lead but could not make them count and they where punished Driffield Equalised from a set piece 3-3! Lewis poucher nearly scored with a volley on the edge of the area, only for his effort to strike the post. Driffield where reduced to 10 men with 10mins to with a sin bin, as Hull kept pushing away it was Driffield who made it count with a mix up in the area and their player scoring from yards out.
