Preston Ladies V Hull United Women's Development

On Sunday the ladies development squad faced unbeaten Preston away.

Despite playing some great football over the last few weeks, the visitors failed to take this into the game on Sunday, with Preston running riot from kick off. It didn’t take long for them get on the scoresheet, with a couple of good corners ending up in the back of the net, along with a worldie strike from outside the box. United tried to get back into the game with Hughes going 1v1 with the keeper, but a good save kept the home sides clean sheet.

HT 4-0 The second half followed a similar pattern to the first, with the visitors failing to gain any sort of possession or create any real chances.

Late into the second half with the game out of sight, a moment of brilliance from Captain Pinder saw the ball hit the back of the net from 40 yards, leaving the keeper with no chance.

A week to forget for the ladies with the final score of 8-1 being one they hope not to be on the end of again.
