After a week off last week Hull United were back at home, this time with an FA cup fixture to Consett Ladies.
Hull United were looking to make it into the first proper round of the cup. United lined up strong, and looked sharp. However not long into the first half an unfortunate injury occurred to United’s midfielder Courtney seeing her leaving the field and an early substitution for the home side. The game was end to end with chances for both sides which neither managed to put away.

The second half United came out looking to put the game to bed, creating more and more chances however it was Consett who took the lead. This goal gave United a shake, and asked more from the United players, who created more and more chances but couldn’t find the back of the net. Lauren Holmes gained her second yellow of the game in the final minutes of the game.
Full time 0-1.
Manager Lewis Poucher added ” Disappointed to say the least with the performance. We didn’t apply our game at all and credit to Consett who came with a plan and made it difficult for us all afternoon. We have to as a squad learn from this and ensure we are ready for the next game. ”
Next week sees hull United have another home game to Harrogate Town.
