Hull United Development 0-3 Haltemprice AFC
As a Manager I’ve always hated coming back from Xmas break with no training or no matches. I understand it’s the same for both teams and you could see genuinely it effected both teams.
First half lacked quality from both teams, effort was there best described as scrappy the football resembled a hot potato, chances were created by both teams Hull Utd keeper pulling off some fine saves were as Hull Utd chances were squandered by poor touches poor decision making.
2nd half was a similar story expect Haltemprice took their chances the 1st goal came 10 mins in a good goal but the player was given to much time Hull Utd keeper had no chance, with Hull Utd not been behind that many times this season didn’t react well in that seemed to go desperate to quick not letting the game settle played like there was only 5 mins to go rushing passes rushing shots, Haltemprice 2nd goal came around 20 mins a deflected shot landed kindly to a player who took his goal well, Utd pushed and pushed but just couldn’t get any luck or break through and with pushing so hard left themselves open to counter attack which finished the game.
United will regroup take the defeat with no excuses and come back stronger.
Next week we face Hull Saints Away.
